How to Measure for Replacement Shower Glass

Replacing a shower screen is simple when you follow the correct tolerances. We can calculate these for you, or you can use the rules below.

Standard Opening

Deduct 5 mm from your tight opening size.

Wall‑to‑Glass Hinges

Deduct 8 mm.

Glass‑to‑Glass Hinges

Deduct 4 mm.

Shower Doors (Drip Seal Allowance)

Deduct 10 mm at the bottom.

U‑Channel Installations

Deduct 5 mm wherever U‑channel is used.
